What Twitter API access does UniPost use?
Quickstart uses UniPost's managed X app, so you do not need a separate X developer plan. If you save your own Platform Credentials, your X app's access tier and quota apply.
Can I post Twitter threads with UniPost?
Yes. Use thread_position 1, 2, 3... to create threaded tweets. Each tweet is linked automatically.
How do I publish a local image, video, or GIF file?
If the asset already has a public URL, send it in media_urls. If it lives on disk, first upload it with POST /v1/media, PUT the bytes to the returned upload_url, then publish with media_ids.
Do I need my own Twitter developer account?
In Quickstart mode, no. UniPost handles everything. In White-label mode, you'll need your own Twitter app credentials.
How does UniPost handle rate limits?
UniPost queues requests and retries automatically when rate limits are hit. You don't need to build any retry logic.
What happens when my token expires?
UniPost refreshes Twitter tokens automatically in the background. No action needed on your end.
Is Twitter included in the free plan?
No. X / Twitter publishing requires any paid plan ($10/mo and up). Free workspaces can use the other 8 platforms (Bluesky, LinkedIn, Instagram, Threads, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, Facebook) up to 100 posts/month.
Are there daily posting limits per Twitter account?
Yes — 20 publishes per day per connected X account. The cap protects accounts from being flagged for spam, resets at 00:00 UTC, and only counts successful posts. Failed posts never count toward the limit.
